A Little About My Sister

During the times when we were kids, my sister(Ethel) and I were very close. We stood by each other and was there for one another. Many would think we were twins. There was nothing that one sibling did that the other didn’t know what was happening.

We remained true to each other until the big Falling Apart in our mid thirties. For about twenti-five years, Ethel and I had nothing to do with one another. We never called each other, write, text or even visited one another. In the year 2018, I had problems breathing. I was rushed into the emergency room. It was there I was diagnosed with bloodclots in my lungs(Pulmonary Embolism). In the year 2019, I had more complications. This time, it was the very worst of Congested Heart Failure(CHF).

In July 2022, I was remembering the dreadful day when my Dad passed away in the year 2002. At this time, I had difficulties breathing again. I went back in the ER. This time they found blood- clots in both my lungs. I was then put into the hospital so the doctor and nurses could monitor my heart and lungs. I was in there for approxiamately two weeks. While in the hospital my left knee popped out of place just as I sat up in bed. In August 2022, I ended up in a nursing home for rehab . After I arrived in the nursing home, a nurse took interest in my care I needed during my rehabilitation.

When I was bored, I developed an interest in writing short stories. Because of my feelings for this nurse, this was how “Stories From Dreams” was started. Approxiamately October 2022, I received word my sister, Ethel, has had several strokes in a period of three to four years. This news tore my heart apart knowing I almost lost my sister. Within a week or two of calling the nursing home her daughter put Ethel in, I was able to talk to my sister again.

I know without a doubt GOD had a hand in getting us back to talking again. It was at this time I gave my heart and my life back to GOD. Soon after we were talking again, my sister wanted me to read the Bible to her. From that time to the present day, I read to her 0ne to three chapters almost each time she calls. Almost each time we have our prayer time, I thank GOD for my sister Ethel. I love you, sis!
